Verification Methodology
What “verified” means on this site, step by step, and what happens when a code stops working.

The short version
A code is shown as live only if a person has applied it at the firm's checkout and seen the discount apply, it is backed by a link to the firm's own promotion page, and its last test is timestamped. Codes past their end date are removed automatically. Codes not re-tested within 7 days are flagged internally for re-verification.
Step 1 — Source
Every code we list must trace back to the firm itself: its promotions page, pricing page, an official announcement, or a code issued to us directly by the firm. We do not list codes scraped from other coupon sites or submitted anonymously without a source we can check. The source link is shown in the verification block on each coupon page.
Step 2 — Manual checkout test
A member of our team goes through the firm's real purchase flow: choose a program and account size, enter the code in the promo field, and confirm the total actually changes by the stated amount. We stop before payment. If the discount does not apply, or applies to fewer programs than claimed, the code is not published (or the eligibility text is corrected).
We record the exact programs the code worked on, any stacking or exclusion rules shown at checkout, and the end date if the firm states one. These become the “Eligibility & Terms” text on the coupon page.
Step 3 — Timestamp
The time of the last successful test is stored on the code itself and displayed as “Verified · x hours ago” next to it. It is set by the system when a code is added or changed, and updated only when a person re-tests the code — it is never hand-typed or copied forward.
Step 4 — Automatic expiry
An automated job runs every hour. Any code whose end date has passed is removed from the live list and moved to that firm's historical codes table, marked expired, with the dates it was active. No one has to remember to take it down. Pages also evaluate expiry at render time, so a code cannot be displayed as live after its end date even between job runs.
Step 5 — Re-check cadence
Codes without an end date, or with a distant one, can still be pulled by the firm at any time. Any live code whose last test is older than 7 days appears in an internal re-check queue and is re-tested using Step 2. If it fails, it is moved to the historical table the same day.
Historical codes
We keep every retired code, its discount, and its active dates on the firm's coupon page. This is deliberate: it lets you see how often a firm actually runs promotions and how deep they go, and it shows that we have tracked the firm over time rather than copied a single code.
What we do not do
- We do not show “verified” badges without a stored test time behind them.
- We do not invent codes, inflate discount percentages, or list codes we could not test.
- We do not keep an expired code visible as live to preserve a page's ranking.
- We do not run automated checkout bots. Verification is manual; automation covers expiry and the re-check queue only.
Report a code that doesn't work
If a code we list as live fails for you, tell us at hello@fundedhub.net. Include the firm, the code, and the program you tried. We aim to review reported coupon/code issues within 48 hours: the code is marked “reported — under review” while we re-test it, and retired if it fails.
